Once we reach the top, how do we get down?
- Participants will use the elevators to return to the ground floor. Nobody will be allowed to use the stairs to descend.

When we reach the top will we be able to look out?
- Yes, a few minutes will be given to each participant once they reach the top to look out the windows.

Will we be able to practice on the stairs in the First National Bank Tower beforehand?
- No, unfortunately we can not allow participants to use the stairs in the tower before the day of the event.

What do I do with my personal items during the event?
- A coat check will be provided to all participants where they can store their personal belongings and pick them up at the completion. Participants are encouraged to bring their own small bags for storing their items.

How many floors and steps are there?
- The First National Bank Tower consists of 40 floors and 870 steps. The tower extends 633 feet into the sky and is the tallest building between Denver and Chicago.

Will there be emergency response technicians on hand?
- Yes, emergency response teams will be located on various floors throughout the tower.

Do I need a credit card to register?
- Yes, a credit card is needed to register but other arrangements can be made. Call WELCOM at 402-934-5795 for details.

Do I need to be a WELCOM member in order to participate?
- No, this event is open to the public however you must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Do I need to be a part of a team to sign up?
- All participants must list a team or company name when they register, however there is no minimum or maximum number of individuals to make up a team.

How do I create a team or company on the website?
- Once you click the REGISTER button, simply follow the instructions to “Create a Team” on the sign up website.

What is the role of a Team Captain?
- The Team Captain simply creates the team on the sign up website and encourages individuals to participate. The Team Captain can also send tailored email messages to team members.

Where do I park the day of the event?
- Various public parking lots are available in the downtown Omaha area.

What is the registration fee used for?
- Proceeds from the fee go toward the mission of the Wellness Council of the Midlands, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is “To lead the Midlands to optimal health through health promotion at the worksite.” Proceeds are also used to facilitate the event. A portion of the entry fee is tax deductible. Call WELCOM for details.

Where do we check-in when we get there?
- Participant check in will be in the main lobby of the FNB Tower located at 1601 Dodge Street.

Can our family and friends come and watch?
- Friends and family are welcome to attend. The waiting area will be in the main floor of the lobby. They will not be allowed to wait at the top or to ride the elevators the day of the event.

What do participants receive?
- Each participant will receive a t-shirt, a medal upon completion, and a commemorative towel. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. Food will also be provided in the lobby after the race.

Are we allowed to stop and rest during the race?
- Yes, water stations will be set up on various floors throughout the building. Participants may also step off to the side and rest if needed.

Our company would like to sponsor this event. What opportunities are available?
- “Floor Sponsorships” are available to anyone. Click on Sponsors to see the Floor Sponsorship package and to download a registration form. Fax it back to: 402-934-5820 when completed.

Can our company subsidize the cost or a portion of the cost of the Registration Fee for our employees?
- YES! The Company Captain/Contact simply selects a “coupon code” for the use of your company’s employees and the amount you’d like to subsidize per participant. WELCOM will directly invoice the difference to the company contact/captain. Call or email WELCOM if you’d like to offer this to your employees.

- Team Captains can call or email WELCOM for current listings of their team.

Can I volunteer AND participate in Trek Up the Tower?
- Yes, volunteers are encouraged to also participate in the event. You must register separately to volunteer and to participate. All volunteers receive a $15 discount to participate in the event. To receive the discount code, please contact the volunteer coordinator at: kathy.nellor@nebraskablue.com. You must register to volunteer before receiving the code.
