Voluteer FAQs:
Where is the event taking place?
The Trek Up The Tower 2010 event will once again be held at the First National Tower located at 1601 Dodge Street, in downtown Omaha.
Where should I park? Does it cost money to park?
The parking meters downtown are free on the weekends. You may also pay to park in any of the parking garages downtown, however fee parking is the responsibility of the volunteer and will not be reimbursed. Park anywhere downtown that is convenient for you.
Can I register to volunteer in more than one category?
Many of the volunteer categories overlap during the event so it makes it difficult to volunteer for more than one category. We recommend you register for only one volunteer category.
I want to volunteer, but I also want to participate in the event. May I do both?
All volunteers may also participate in Trek Up the Tower. Cost to participate is only $25 for volunteers, but you MUST register for the event prior to the deadline at
www.trekupthetower.org
. Volunteers who do not register to participate at the official
www.trekupthetower.org
race registration website will NOT be allowed to participate in the event. Please email Lori at lori.thomas@bcbsne.com for the coupon code prior to registration to receive the discount. Please choose a Check In time to participate that does not overlap with the activity that you choose to volunteer for. (For example, if helping with Participant Check-In, please select a check in time slot that is toward the END of the event.)
What do I get for volunteering?
The satisfaction of helping at an incredible event! You get fun, friends, networking…..not to mention a free t-shirt and discounted participation rate to climb the tower yourself!
